Kaartola

A hybrid plant with a solar power park of about 75 MWp and an electricity storage facility of about 60 MW is planned for the Kaartola area of Tyrnävä. The project area is located approximately 6 km west of the centre of Muhos and 9 km east of the centre of Tyrnävä. The general planning and permitting of the project are underway.

The project’s planning requirement decision and building permit applications are pending and will be processed during spring 2026. The project also involves applying for a water permit from the National Supervisory Authority. Construction could possibly begin in spring 2027, in which case the park would be completed in late 2028.
