Social responsibility

Social responsibility

We offer efficient clean energy solutions for municipalities, cities and industry needs throughout Finland. We increase regional and national energy self-sufficiency and security of supply by producing stable, affordable and locally produced electricity for the long term.

Through our projects, we also develop regional business operations and improving employment rates. Solar parks attract new operators and investments to the area and increase regional vitality. Our projects create local jobs and employ sectors such as construction and civil engineering.

In our day-to-day work, we do our best to minimize the adverse impacts of our operations on the environment and communities, both locally and throughout our supply chain.

Close cooperation

We are engaging in close and sustained cooperation with municipalities, companies and landowners, both locally and nationally. We engage in continuous dialogue with our stakeholders. We commit to long-term partnerships with our partners.

We boost regional vitality, create jobs and facilitate local investments by planning and implementing industrial scale renewable energy projects. Our solar energy projects help facilitate long-term profit from underutilised land.

Occupational safety and health and well-being at work

We aim to be a safe and healthy workplace. We promote the health and well-being of our employees in various ways. Our goal is zero accidents.

Lost time injury frequency rate (LTIFR) and number of occupational accidents include our occupational safety indicators. In 2024, our LTIFR was 0 and there were no workplace accidents. There were two commuting accidents in 2024. We also want to promote proactive occupational safety measures, and one of the indicators of our incentive system in 2024 was the number of safety observations and near miss incidents reported by our personnel.

We measure our employees’ well-being at work with annual workplace community surveys. We review the results in our occupational safety and health committee and draw up an action plan based on the feedback we receive from our personnel. In 2024, for example, we started experimenting with one hour of exercise during working hours. The purpose is to promote the work ability and coping at work of our employees and to promote work breaks by enabling breaks in sports also during working hours.

Our contractors and subcontractors play a significant role in the implementation of our projects. We also want to guarantee a safe construction environment for all contractors and partners operating on our sites. We measure the level of occupational safety at construction sites with MVR and TR indicators (indicators of the safety level of construction sites) and by encouraging contractors to report safety observations and near miss incidents.

Social responsibility in numbers

The amount of our personnel has grown fast from 2022 to 2024.

The proportion of women in the entire staff decreased slightly in 2024 and was 36%. On the other hand, the proportion of women among board members increased and was 20%.

eNPS was 27 and NPS 89 in 2024.
