Koirivaara

A solar park with a panel capacity of about 40 MWp is being planned for Koirivaara in Tohmajärvi in a disused peat production area. An electricity storage facility of approximately 10 MWp is also planned in connection with the project. The aim of the project is to promote the construction of renewable energy in Eastern Finland and to harness disused peat production areas for the production of renewable solar energy.

The EPC operator and supervision have been put out to tender. An investment decision is currently being prepared so that construction can begin. Construction can begin in autumn 2026 at the earliest.
