Pääskymäki

An industrial solar power park with a panel capacity of approximately 50 MWp is being planned for Pääskymäki in Loppi. The project area is about 70 hectares and it consists largely of agricultural and commercial forest areas. When completed, the solar power plant will have an annual production of 50 GWh, which is equivalent to the annual electricity consumption of 3,000 detached houses.

The project’s planning requirement decision and building permit applications were submitted at the end of 2024 and will be processed during 2025. The necessary environmental and nature surveys will also be carried out during 2025. Construction is scheduled to begin at the beginning of 2026, in which case the power plant would be completed in early 2027.
