Skarta Energy publishes VSME sustainability report

Skarta expands voluntary sustainability reporting by publishing its first report in accordance with the VSME standard. The report provides a comprehensive picture of sustainability work.

14 employees and three ISO certificates. Scope 3 emissions reported across all 15 categories. Voluntary EU taxonomy reporting. GRESB classification with five stars and 97/100 points. The first VSME report brings Skarta’s corporate responsibility areas together into a single package.

“Skarta punches well above its weight in sustainability. I believe our partners and owners appreciate it. The VSME report brings that work together in one place,” says Skarta’s HSEQ Manager Anna Korhonen.

VSME (Voluntary Sustainability Reporting Standard for non-listed SMEs) is a European voluntary sustainability reporting standard for SMEs. It supports unlisted companies in sustainability reporting and improves consistency, comparability and transparency.

Skarta Energy has applied both the Basic and Comprehensive Modules of VSME in the report to provide a comprehensive overview of its sustainability work. The report provides a structured and transparent overview of Skarta’s sustainability performance, key impacts, and development targets for 2025.

The sustainability report has been prepared at the group level, covering Skarta Energy Oy and the project companies. The publication supports Skarta’s goal of working transparently and systematically advancing sustainability as part of its renewable energy project development and power production.
