Project details

An industrial-scale solar power plant is being planned for the Kurajoki River in Salo. The project area is located approximately 15 km northeast of the centre of Salo.  A solar power park with a connection capacity of approximately 80 MW (output of approximately 105 MWp) and an electricity storage facility are planned for the area. Once completed, the farm would produce approximately 120 GWh of electricity annually.

The project area is a field area that will be removed from agricultural use if the project is implemented. The area is located close to residential areas, so the plan pays attention to landscaping and minimising the impact on the landscape as well as preventing noise nuisance. The aim is to carry out the planning in good cooperation with the residents of the area.
