NSC EnergyOpti Oy and Skarta Energy have entered into an agreement covering the operation, multi-market optimisation, and electricity trading of Skarta Energy’s renewable energy portfolio. The agreement includes both the Utajärvi hybrid power plant — Finland’s largest industrial-scale solar power plant — and the Pälkäne solar power assets. Operational co-operation will begin on 1 May 2026.
Under the agreement, NSC EnergyOpti will manage all market-related activities for Skarta Energy’s portfolio, including optimisation of solar power generation and battery storage, as well as trading across multiple electricity markets. By outsourcing these activities, Skarta Energy aims to maximise the performance and value of its growing renewable asset base.

Skarta Energy – Finland’s largest industrial solar power producer
Skarta Energy develops and produces renewable energy and complements its’ utility-scale solar power projects by energy storage solutions to ensure long-term energy security. Company is Finland’s largest industrial solar power producer, and it owns Finland’s largest industrial solar power plant in Utajärvi, a 150-hectare facility built on former peat extraction area and equipped with over 170,000 solar panels.
