Skarta Energy scores 99.5 points in the GRESB sustainability assessment – the highest score in its peer group

Skarta’s long-term sustainability work earned a five-star GRESB rating for the third consecutive year.

Skarta Energy scored 99.5 points out of 100 in the 2026 GRESB sustainability assessment and ranked first in its peer group. Skarta received a five-star rating for the third consecutive year. The company participated in the assessment together with its owner, CapMan Infra.

This year, Skarta participated in the Infrastructure Asset Assessment, which evaluates operational infrastructure assets, for the first time. Previously, the company participated in the Infrastructure Development Asset Assessment, which evaluates infrastructure projects in development.

Skarta develops renewable energy projects and owns and operates operational solar power plants as an independent power producer (IPP). The new assessment category therefore provides a more accurate reflection of the company’s current operations.

Compared with the previous year, Skarta has further strengthened its sustainability work. Developments contributing to the GRESB result included the publication of Skarta’s first stand-alone sustainability report and the setting of a science-based emissions reduction target.

“This result demonstrates that long-term sustainability work delivers results. We have worked systematically and increased the transparency of our operations. The strong result encourages us to continue this work. The assessment helps us identify where we can further improve,” says Anna Korhonen, HSEQ Manager at Skarta Energy.

GRESB assesses and benchmarks the sustainability performance of real estate and infrastructure entities globally. The assessment provides investors and managers with comparable data on environmental, social and governance (ESG) performance.
