A solar farm of 103.2 MWp, or approximately 80 MWA (connecting power), is being constructed for Isosuo in Utajärvi, an area of approximately 140 hectares.
Once completed, the farm will produce 94 GWh of renewable solar power per year, which corresponds to the annual electricity consumption of approximately 16,000 households. In addition, a 5 MW battery storage facility is planned in connection with the park.
The site being built at Isosuo is Finland’s first solar farm to be connected to the Fingrid main grid.
The investment decision was done in the beginning of December 2023 and the construction work was started in the beginning of 2024.
