A solar farm of 106.8 MWp, or 80 MW (connecting power), is being constructed for Isosuo in Utajärvi, an area of approximately 150 hectares.
Once completed, the farm will produce 94 GWh of renewable solar power per year, which corresponds to the annual electricity consumption of approximately 16,000 households. A 20 MW/40 MWh battery storage facility will also be built in connection with the park
The site being built at Isosuo is Finland’s first solar farm to be connected to the Fingrid main grid.
The investment decision was done in the beginning of December 2023 and the construction work was started in the beginning of 2024.
