A solar farm of 102.5 MWp, or approximately 80 MWa (connecting power), is planned for Isosuo in Utajärvi, an area of approximately 133 hectares.
Once completed, the farm will produce approximately 79 GWh of renewable solar power per year, which corresponds to the annual electricity consumption of approximately 16,000 households. In addition, a 5 MW battery storage facility is planned in connection with the park.
The internal network being built for the area will be implemented in cooperation with SmartGrid technology, with the help of the international, EU-funded GLogalFlex project led by VTT Technical Research Centre of Finland.
The site being built at Isosuo is Finland’s first solar farm to be connected to the Fingrid main grid.
